Re-Design This

It’s fun how things just click…I haven’t blogged in a while, that is true, but I figured it’d be a great way to document my progress.  I currently have the task of reworking or redesigning this postcard as requested by Gracie, the president of the Mexican Heritage Center.

In the past two sessions of my graphic arts class at Delta College, I have picked up on the concept of white space.  I can’t really recall a recent project where I used this concept but it looks pretty great to me!

Since there was no original artwork, my only option was to find a way to remove the text from the middle of the already flattened image.  By completely erasing the mid section out and replacing with a white fill, it adds interest to the design as whole…or at least I think.
